Remarkable Women

It was 1981 or maybe 1982. I was in New York, Soho, at an Art exhibition.
In that year I went to alot of Art Openings.Andy Warhol in those days was a permanent feature at these gatherings.
I was in one and a woman approached me.
She looked very masculine with a hard set jaw and well defined spectacles.
She was drinking red wine and we began chatting.
I noticed that her eyes however, as she spoke, were quite piercing, until they suddenly rolled out of focus.
Her whole body seemed, in slow motion, to disintegrate before my sight.
I grasped her as she fell and took her to the sofa.
Once I had placed her there I was quickly replaced by a plethora of her ‘friends.’
I went away thinking to myself:
“Funny woman that…Annie Lebovitz…strange name..says she is a photographer but I’ve never heard of her…”
No list for this one as yet!
